Job Description
Teach sailing at Roger Williams University this summer. The pay is competitive. We have a great sailing venue. RWU is close to great racing in Newport, and close to all the best team racing events of the summer. Also, the big events on Cape Cod are easily accessible. There is no weekend commitment. Also, if you are interested in doing the Tuesday night team racing down in Newport, we can talk about that. The sailing camp is very laid back, with a high priority on having fun. There is a maximum of 8 students per session. Instruction is in college-style 420s at the beginner level for kids aged 12-16. The program runs six weeks with a few days before and after camp to set up and break down. There is also an adult component (mostly RWU faculty and staff) 3 nights/week. Pay is up to $15/hour with additional opportunity to make more money doing private lessons at a nearby country club.
Job Qualifications
Candidates must have US Sailing Level 1 and must be up to date with First Aid and CPR. |
