Job Description
The Block Island Club is seeking an experienced sailing instructor for the upcoming summer season. The Club is a 125 member organization located on beautiful Block Island that focuses on sailing, tennis and swimming instruction. Sailing instructors’ responsibilities include devising and executing lessons for beginner and advanced sailors, organizing intra and inter club regattas, and maintaining the Club’s waterfront fleet. Applicants should have collegiate racing experience and have held prior positions that involved teaching beginner sailors. All applicants must have their up-to-date Level I sailing and lifesaving certifications. Applicants should be available on a full-time basis beginning early June through Labor Day. Waterfront housing can be provided.
