Manager of eCommerce

This is your opportunity to work along the shores of Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan in the sailboat business. Our company is more than 40 years old with a growing online component having strong potential for further expansion. In this position you will be an important part of a multi-channel retail and service business. You will oversee the development of multiple online brands and an online catalog of more than 400,000 skus.

Your role will be responsible for driving sales and profitiablity by developing, executing and managing ecommerce initiatives and strategies supporting the multi-channel goals of the organization.

This is a hands-on position where you can directly impact the success of the organization through a combination of management and direct implementation. You will oversee and participate in online business planning, content development, SEM, SEO, promotional campaigns, online merchandising, order fulfillment and customer service.

Helpful Qualifications & Requirements:

BA/BS in computer science, merchandising, marketing, communications, e-commerce, or related field; or equivalent experience required.

• Experience managing staff.
  
  
• Knowledge of e-commerce best practices (marketing, sales and technical).
  
  
• Understanding and ability to implement good design and end-user experience
  
  
• Ability for working with Internet technologies and analytic tools - site currently uses Apache, Linux, PHP and MySQL
  
  
• Selects and manages Ecommerce partners in support of company goals. Manages budgets and relationships as it relates to the website and its marketing.
  
  
• Analytical, marketing, prioritization, influencing and negotiating skills.
  
  
• Ability to devise strategies and translate strategic objectives into tactical plans.
  
  
• Understanding of how to leverage social media in a commercial environment
  
  
• Customer service, purchasing and retail experience helpful
  
  
• Passion for and interest in boating
