Annapolis, MD — 22 October 2018 For over a decade now, Sail1Design has been serving the one-design sailing community with great articles, marketplace ads, and our popular sailing job board/career center. In fact, we are the official job board of the ICSA, ISSA, and US Sailing. We’ve always had a soft spot for, and a special focus on youth sailing, and we love to work hard to serve sailing’s most important generation, the next one. Our team and those that work with us have vast sailing/coaching experience at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels, and we are pooling together our resources for this project to make it the best it can be.
We are excited to announce a new initiative and offering for our high school sailors hoping to become student-athletes in college sailing: S1D College Sailing Consultants!
We have a big surprise from our vault for those who sign up… Sign up for our exciting kick-off College Sailing 101 Webinar, complete with real college sailing coaches, which will launch on Saturday, 03 November!!
Stay in the comfort of your home while we do the work, and go over what for many is the Byzantine world of College Sailing!
For years, S1D performed and hosted free live meetings with college sailing coaches and offered a large-forum discussion/access. With our busy worlds only becoming busier, it was harder and harder to get everyone “in the same room”, so to speak, and the old lecture model just seemed a bit bulky and outdated, given our world’s new virtual capabilities. In comes S1D College Sailing Consultants, a web-based and virtual resource that can be there for you 7 days a week, 365 days a year! What’s even better is that our service can also be personalized just for you, and you will have access to a real person (not a lecture, not a computer screen) that will work specifically and individually with you; understand your interests, experience, and goals, and help you achieve them.
S1D College Sailing Consultants offers two levels of service:
College Sailing 101 (free). Simply by signing up, you (parent or student-athlete) will receive exclusive information about college sailing, from updates, to videos, free access to webinars, to the latest trends in our sport and more. You will also have the ability to email a consultant directly, and ask questions! Sign up today
S1D College Sailing Consultants. With this you will get all of the above, plus a dedicated consultant to work directly and individually with, and for you, and you will have access to our connections.
