Chris KlevanLike Harvard is to Open sailing, the Bulldogs are earned the crown since the inceptoin of the event and it is therefor theirs until someone else claims it.
Isaac ClarkBest record going into nationals but Harvard and Stanford will be hard to beat.
Johnny NorfleetThe top three teams are clearly a step above the rest and Yale sits at the top of that group for me
Isaac ClarkI agree with Chris; hard to figure where they end up.
Johnny NorfleetThey escaped with the AQ in a wild MAISA champs. A strong finish at the Dellenbaugh without Bridget Green shows that this team has depth and can compete with the best
Isaac ClarkStill catching up from big graduation losses last year.
Johnny NorfleetA lot of variance for this group. At their best they are a final 4 team. At their worst they might not get more than a couple wins at nationals. But their good is very good so they edge out a few of the other teams in this 4th to 8th tight group
Isaac ClarkTheir best regatta was at home but so are nationals, or at least nearby.
Johnny NorfleetAny podium team in NEISA has to be good on the national level but Harvard's other results this season have been a mixed bag. I have them at the back end of this 4th - 8th cluster
Johnny NorfleetMy pick for the final at large selection. They have some really bad results but that is partially a product of sailing nearly every weekend in the deepest conference. They have shown that they can play up to teams above them when they are at their best
Johnny NorfleetThey didn't play much this season but can clearly beat some of the best teams as evidenced by their near miss of the top 6 at NEISA champs. Likely to be one of the first teams out along with Georgetown
Johnny NorfleetDefinitely the 3rd best team in MAISA but hard to rate since they didn't see NEISA all that much. Were the results at MAISA champs reflective of a close field, meaning this team is closer to Penn and Cornell, or just some challenging conditions? Either way, this team is likely just barely getting edged out by MIT for the final at large berth
Johnny NorfleetA very solid finish at the windy Dellenbaugh beating teams like Harvard and MIT but that was their best result of the season so I don't expect them to earn a selection. Still, they can clearly play against and beat the teams in the nationals field and are a prime case for the continued expansion of women's team racing at the ICSA level
Johnny NorfleetA very tough showing for this squad at the NEISA champs in spite of some promising results earlier in the season. With the 12-team field allowing only 6 at-large berths, they won't be participating in the big dance in spite of being firmly in the top 16
Johnny NorfleetThe Duplin was their best result. Otherwise their results have been relatively mediocre. Like their coed team, they might not have done enough to earn an at-large berth but that's probably by design knowing they need to peak at nationals. They probably won't advance past the first round but will absolutely be good enough to beat a large portion of the teams in the field and prove they belong
