Airwaves Career Center Spotlight: Sailing Director at Carolina Yacht Club
Wrightsville Beach, NC– Carolina Yacht Club is looking to add a skilled and enthusiastic sailing director/junior coach to their coaching staff. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and looking to take Carolina Yacht Club’s program to the next level. This includes challenging and motivating young sailors to compete at the highest levels, as well as overseeing the youth sailing program as a whole. Additional responsibilities may also be:
- Managing the the summer program
- Scheduling, coaching, and recruiting other coaches
- Managing the competitive Opti, Laser, Club 420, and High School programs
- Overseeing all club sailing assets and sailing facilities, including maintenance and repairs
- Assisting the Waterfront Director with all club, regional, national, and championship regattas, events, and clinics
- Providing a safe learning environment for all sailors
- Ensuring sailing instruction maintains a high level of customer experience for members
