2026 VX One North American Championship Results & Recap
43 boats were registered for the 2026 VX One North American Championship, held September 18–26. That’s 86 sailors, with teams representing the United States, Canada, Chile, the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong, ready to battle it out for the championship title. Macatawa Bay Yacht Club in Macatawa, Michigan, hosted the event.
It was an impressive few days of sailing on Lake Michigan for this fleet, with nine races completed over the course of the event.
It was the Canadian team Ripple (Geoffrey Moore and Josh Yale) who took the championship title. They finished with just 14 points after the nine completed races, including four race wins. Their lowest finish was a 15th, which they ultimately discarded. They finished with a 17-point margin over second place.
Team Bacio (Michael Kiss and Mitchell Kiss) were the top American finishers with 31 points. They started the event off strong and were able to sail a great regatta to end up second on the podium.
It was Bro Safari (Marc Farmer and Tej Trevor Parekh) that completed the podium with 42 total points. The 2025 North American Champions team Counterproductive (Chris Alexander, Madeline Baldridge, and Ricky Welch), were just one point behind Bro Safari to finish in fourth. Fifth place was taken by team Hoffdog Express (Evan Hoffman and Nick Woviotis), who had 57 points.
Congratulations to all the competitors, and special kudos to the 2026 Champions, team Ripple. A well-deserved well done to the organizers, race committee, and volunteers who helped make a championship like this so successful.
