2026 Snipe Women’s Nationals Regatta Report and Results
The 2026 Snipe Women’s Nationals took place August 22–23 in San Diego, California, hosted by Mission Bay Yacht Club.
Twenty-two boats took to the water, bringing 44 women sailors together for a competitive weekend of Snipe racing. Over two days, the fleet completed six races, with one discard allowing teams to drop their worst score.
At the top of the fleet, Charlie Bess and Charlotte Mack were the clear standouts, winning four of the six races. Their two other finishes, a seventh and an eighth, were their only scores outside the top five, but it was their four race wins that carried them to the championship.
Barbie Tillson and Laurel O’Neill provided a strong challenge, combining two race wins with finishes of fifth, seventh, and second. Their consistency kept them within striking distance of Bess and Mack throughout the weekend.
In third, Aine McLean Fretwell and Ximena Escobar showed a very consistent performance to land them in the top three. While they never won a race, they finished fourth in four of the six races, putting them firmly on the podium.
Just outside the podium, Mary Baker and Trisha Kelly finished fourth, followed by Tarasa Davis and Kim Calnan in fifth.
