Nantucket Yacht Club is a fantastic place to work, with tremendous support for the Junior Sailing Program and for its employees. The Junior Program Director position is one of the most important on our staff; this person is responsible for leading 6-9 instructors in the conduct of all Instructional and Fun Sailing programs.
Nantucket Yacht Club is hiring head coaches for 2021! This is a ten week position, housing and meals are provided, and pay is extremely competitive for the right individuals. Nantucket is consistently windy, and a fun place to train a junior race team.
The Opti head coach is a fantastic position; this is a collaborative team with Nantucket Community Sailing and Great Harbor Yacht Club. The “All-Island” Opti Team trains every afternoon, working with 4-5 coaches and 10-15 Opti Sailors. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified Opti coaches.
The ideal candidate has experience in a clinic-type format working with multiple coaches, and is 21 years old.
We are additionally hiring “General Senior Instructors,” who fill a variety of roles throughout the program. This includes instructional and race coaching, as well as some adult instruction and race committee work.
