The Neill Advanced Sailing Clinic was founded in 2011. The annual event is supported financially by the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation, and hosted at Chicago Yacht Club’s Sailing School.
The clinic is named in honor of the late Tom Neill, a well-known racer and CYC member, who was interested in the progression of youth sailing and in providing young sailors with opportunities to expand their knowledge and abilities. His support provided the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation with the ability to establish the clinic now named for him.
