If you need hotel suggestions or housing, here’s a list of suggestions, for convenience:
MICRO-CLINICS – Weekend practices or micro-clinics will be scheduled in areas across the country that may not have access to high-level coaching to help educate and elevate youth sailors, parents, and sailing programs to the next level.
FUTURE PATHWAYS – Youth sailors and parents will also become more familiar with the process to qualify for our Development Team, US International Teams, US National Team, and beyond.
TOP TRAINING FROM THE HIGHEST COACHES IN THE OPTIMIST FLEET – Highest level coaches from the Optimist fleet, working with everyone from the National Team to the Horizon program.
The Dinghy Race (TDR) brings together junior sailors from around New England and beyond to participate in a unique sailing experience. This unconventional two-day race blends keelboat distance racing with high-performance dinghy sailing. Sailors will begin their journey on day one at The Wadawanuck Club in Stonington, CT, and will finish Day One at Mason’s Island Yacht Club in Mystic, CT. On Day Two, racers will begin their journey at Mason’s Island Yacht Club after a sleepover at the clubhouse and a night filled with fun! Sailors will finish the regatta back where they started, at The Wadawanuck Club. TDR challenges sailors in a way conventional regattas cannot by making the race course longer, pushing sailors beyond the bounds of what they are used to. The regatta is being raced in the Club 420.
