BRISTOL, Rhode Island – February 8, 2022 — Zim Sailing is excited to announce that Catherine “Coco” Solsvig is the newly appointed Gulf Coast Regional Representative at Zim Sailing. Coco will serve as the liaison between the dinghy manufacturer and Gulf Coast yacht clubs and community sailing programs.
Zim Sailing has established itself as a leader in the marine industry since opening its doors in 2008 and has steadily grown. Coco will consult with area programs to help them navigate the extensive Zim Sailing range of boats.
“I am excited to join the Zim Team, I know them well. The depth of knowledge within Zim is second to none. I look forward to delivering quality boats and parts to help keep athletes on the water,” said Solsvig.

Solsvig, a former All American at the University of Vermont, will continue as sailing director at Texas Corinthian Yacht Club where she has been a passionate advocate for youth sailing.
Zim Sailing, manufacturers and distributes C420, FJs, ILCAs and Optimist – while also handling distribution for all RS Sailing boats in the South. Zim is also partnering with Vela Sailing who will inventory boats in Texas to reduce lead times throughout the region. The Zim Sailing 40,000 square foot warehouse in Bristol, Rhode Island includes the largest parts inventory in the country.
