New York’s premier sailing center is looking to hire instructors for the 2019 season. For more information, and to apply, CLICK HERE. North Cove Sailing is located downtown at the vibrant Brookfield Place in New York’s Financial District. We have a fleet of 12 well maintained Colgate 26’s. Our location gives us the greatest access to sailing in New York Harbor out of any sailing center in New York. North Cove has a sailing club with a very competitive racing program and we also have a sailing school. We are looking for instructors for our adult sailing program as well as instructors for our youth sailing program. We are flexible with hours and dates. We pay competitive salaries and we are willing to work with instructor candidates to get OUPV licenses. There’s no better way to spend your summer than sailing out of North Cove. Join us at North Cove next summer!
Our fleet is comprised of twelve Colgate 26 training and racing keel boats. These sailboats are the same vessels that the US Naval Academy uses to train and race on, as they are very safe and performance-oriented boats.
The Colgate 26 fits six adults comfortably, and is equipped with a tiller, symmetric spinnaker and pole. With support vessels and shoreside facilities, we have the ability to host events of up to 60 guests.
Our facilities are located in the heart of Manhattan, with great sights like the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island just a short sail away.
We have both shoreside (300 Vesey Street) and dockside (North Cove Marina) facilities to provide the best atmosphere for club, teaching and community activities. As part of the Brookfield Place complex, North Cove Sailing has great access to unparalleled shopping and eating — all easily accessible by ferry, PATH and subway.
“Racing clinics for both new and experienced racers make racing a fun experience for all. Also, racing committee challenges racers by making courses fun! Come join us!!!”
“Sailing a few hours on the Hudson feels like going away for the weekend. You get to see a new scenery, race the other boats to get to Brunch first, enjoy a nice meal and of course camaraderie.”
“I love being able to take a subway from work and be on the water in such a short amount of time. I also love the community spirit, camaraderie, and the cool location in lower Manhattan.”
