1. Carmen Cowles did not win Women’s Sailor of the year last year. Sophia Reineke was the recipient of the award. We said Carmen won, twice actually. Once in the Yale COED writeup and again in the Dartmouth Women’s one. “I’d like to formally apologize for an error in analysis featured in the first Sail1Design TR Rankings. I mentioned, twice that Carmen Cowels was the Women’s College Sailor of the Year. While Ms. Cowles is an exceptional sailor, she was not last year’s recipient of that most prestigious award. The winner, of course was Sophie Reineke, as deservingly so. I like to think of myself as an amateur historian of the college game and I’m frankly a little embarrassed about this obvious blunder.”
